Fire retardant boards are graded by how they behave in fire. GB 8624-2012 Class B1 means hard-to-combustible, which is the standard grade required for public buildings in China. Higher grades such as EN 13501 B-s1,d0 and A1 are available on request.

The essentials for your buying team: what this board is, what documentation ships with it, and what a standard order looks like.
Fire-retardant boards meeting GB 8624-2012 Class B1 hard-to-combustible, with the flame-retardant formulation mixed into the board core rather than applied as a surface coating, so the rating holds after cutting and routing. Density 740 ± 10 kg/m³, internal bond ≥ 1.10 MPa, with EN 13501 and ASTM E84 graded options on request. MOQ 300 sheets, fire test reports supplied with the order.
Parameters below apply to standard production. Non-standard densities, thicknesses and sizes are available — confirm your specification before ordering.

The questions importers ask most often about Fire Retardant Boards — answered directly, with the numbers you can verify on the certificate.
Standard grade is GB 8624-2012 Class B1 hard-to-combustible. EN 13501 B-s1,d0 and ASTM E84 graded options are available on request, and A1 non-combustible boards are offered for higher requirements.
No. The surface color, flatness and machinability are the same as standard MDF, so they work with the same coating and finishing processes.
The fire-retardant formulation is mixed into the board during hot pressing, so the flame resistance is distributed through the whole thickness rather than sitting on the surface. That is why B1 grade is maintained after cutting and routing.
These boards run on the same certified lines and can be combined in one container — useful for trial orders and for filling a 20ft or 40ft container.
