Carving boards are MDF boards selected and pressed for clean CNC and router cutting. The goal is a smooth surface and clean edges with no fuzzing, so the part can be painted or wrapped with minimal sanding. A dedicated lightweight grading in 11.5, 14.5 and 17.5 mm is pressed specifically for carving work.

The essentials for your buying team: what this board is, what documentation ships with it, and what a standard order looks like.
Carved and routed MDF pressed in dedicated lightweight grades of 11.5, 14.5 and 17.5 mm at 740–820 kg/m³ density, so the router bit cuts cleanly instead of tearing fibre. Surfaces take PVC wrap, acrylic and paint with no fuzzing, and E0 and E1 grades are available. MOQ 300 sheets.
Parameters below apply to standard production. Non-standard densities, thicknesses and sizes are available — confirm your specification before ordering.
| Carving grades | 11.5 · 14.5 · 17.5 mm |
|---|---|
| Density | 740–820 kg/m³ |
| Emission | E0 / E1 / F4-Star |
| Routed surface | Smooth, no fuzzing, low dust |

Typical downstream uses. If your project is not listed, send us the finished part and we will match the board grade to it.
The questions importers ask most often about Carved & Routed Boards — answered directly, with the numbers you can verify on the certificate.
Density and uniformity. At 740 to 820 kg/m³ the board is dense enough that the router bit cuts cleanly instead of tearing fibre, which produces smooth surfaces and edges with no fuzzing.
Because that is what the dedicated lightweight carving grade is pressed at. These thicknesses give enough rigidity for doors and moldings while staying light enough to hang and route fast, which is why the grade is reserved for carving rather than general furniture.
If the part is only decorative, 740 to 780 kg/m³ is enough and lighter to machine. If it also carries structural load, choose 780 to 820 kg/m³ so the finished surface stays flat.
These boards run on the same certified lines and can be combined in one container — useful for trial orders and for filling a 20ft or 40ft container.
